Rating 5 out of 5
As a student in the Jersey City school district, the best part of my experience has been the diverse community that fosters a rich cultural exchange. However, one improvement I'd like to see is a greater emphasis on modern technology integration in classrooms, as it would enhance our educational experience and prepare us for the evolving job market.

PS16 in Jersey City will be our reason to move from Jersey City. I am really surprised how the school still holds a high rating, since the system is shockingly disappointing. The school is extremely under-resourced, classes are so crowded (ratio 30:1) that kids need to sit on a rug on the floor during school hours, after school programs are offered to barely 5% of the students and, most importantly, teachers are not communicative and under skilled. Unfortunately, the list could keep going. We had very high expectations, both my husband and I are PhDs and we do understand the importance of a good education system, especially at this age. The school is completely failing its mission, the kids will be heavily affected by this situation. I am envisioning a very quickly approaching drop in rating

My school has some great teachers who will do everything in their power to prepare you for the student's futures. Overall, the academics of the school are excellent. However, the school lacks a lot of events, clubs, resources, and activities. Hence, the environment is extremely boring.
